House Operations Manager (HOM) - Nursing Leadership

We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Leader to join our team as a House Operations Manager (HOM) at The University of Iowa. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated nursing staff in delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to establish and/or maintain efficient and effective systems to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and maintain unit operating budget within specified targets.
  • Follow and apply leave management policies.
  • Allocate resources to meet quality and productivity expectations.
  • Advocate for needs of unit with healthcare leaders.
  • Encourage staff to participate in evidence-based practice research initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing is required.
  • Current license to practice nursing in Iowa or ability to obtain an Iowa license upon hire.
  • Considerable (3+ years) of nursing leadership experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment.
