Job Summary

The Clinical Practice Leader is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and leading clinical care delivery within our hospital setting. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical care delivery and provide patient care for individuals and cohorts of patients
  • Design, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based information
  • Supervise and develop staff, providing education and training to enhance patient care
  • Lead quality and process improvements, promoting a culture of evidence-based practice
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing required
  • Current, valid license to practice nursing in Iowa
  • Considerable clinical experience in pediatric critical care and pediatric cardiovascular ICU
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with staff education and development, evidence-based practice, and outcomes-based practice and quality improvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a large academic medical center
  • Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL)
  • PALS Instructor Certification
