Medical Assistant

Friends For All is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Services team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our licensed providers during patient exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient intake, gathering vital signs, demographic details, social history, and medical background.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, collect and prepare specimens for analysis, and administer medications as directed.
- Educate patients about medications, treatments, and physician's instructions, promoting health literacy and patient empowerment.
- Coordinate services with other team members to meet patient's primary health care needs and ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on customer service and front desk operations.
- Bilingual in Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and maintaining accuracy and organization.
- Strong relationship-builder, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and support.
