Job Summary:

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Baptist Memorial Health Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team. This is a full-time position in our GI Memphis OH GI Specialists department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance to patients under the direction of licensed personnel and/or Administrator.
• Perform direct patient care duties as assigned under the direction of a provider.
• Triage phone calls, call in prescriptions and advise patients as directed by a provider.
• Provide for patient safety.
• Possess the ability to perform day-to-day clerical tasks and related duties.
• Participate in ongoing educational activities.
• Complete assigned goals.

Requirements:

• Education: Approved nursing or medical assistant course.
• Experience: Minimum of one year experience preferred.
• Licensure, Registration, Certification: BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
• Special Skills: Computer literacy and phlebotomy experience preferred.
