Job Summary

Christ Community Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant Lead to provide administrative support in all areas of front-office operations. This role acts as a back-up to the Office Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with patient registration, verifying insurance, and scheduling diagnostic referrals and patient appointments.
  2. Support the completion of referrals, including specialty and women's cancer screening referrals.
  3. Contribute to other office functions such as answering phones, handling mail, collecting patient data, maintaining supplies inventory, and managing medical records activities.
  4. Act as lead supervisor in the absence of the Clinic/Office Manager, assisting with projects and tasks as assigned, and helping to train and cross-train office personnel.
  5. Collect self-pay payments and co-payments, accounting for cash, check, and credit card payments, and prepare bank deposit reports and deposit slips.
  6. Generate reports such as the daily activity report and missing tickets report.
  7. Provide administrative coverage in other departments as needed.
  8. Collect Customer Service Evaluation surveys from patients.
  9. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of three years experience as a medical office assistant, working knowledge of computers, and proven communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment with some exposure to patients who may be infectious.
