Job Title: Paramedic

Vital Medical Transport is seeking a skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to patients in need.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls for assistance.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine courses of treatment.
  • Administer medications as outlined in Vital Medical Transport's approved Standing Medical Orders.
  • Use backboards and restraints to keep patients safe during transport.
  • Transport patients between facilities and report observations and treatment to healthcare staff.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • State of Tennessee Licensure as a Paramedic.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Skills and experience with a high proficiency at the BLS level of service.
  • Interpersonal skills, including compassion, listening, and communicating.
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR Certification.
Preferred:
  • ACLS Certificate.
  • PHTLS Certificate.
  • ITLS Certificate.
  • National Registry Certification.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Work involves exposure to the elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. Must be able to work in all environments and maintain safety protocols when working with patients.

Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 100lbs. Must be able to repeatedly stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 100 pounds multiple times throughout a shift.

Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations. Must be able to evaluate situations, remain calm, and take control in all environments.
