About the Role

Kettler Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at The Aster. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our property, including all physical maintenance and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee and participate in all maintenance projects, including capital improvements, and manage a team of maintenance personnel.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate and perform repair of property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Budgeting and Administration: Manage maintenance budgets and other administrative tasks, including soliciting and analyzing bids, tracking invoices, and ensuring timely payment.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and correct deficiencies, and maintain accurate records of all services performed.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate all contracted services, monitor vendor performance, and ensure compliance with Kettler guidelines.
  • Staff Development: Contribute to ongoing staff recruitment efforts and skill-building/learning initiatives, and oversee the maintenance team.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls, including nights and weekends, and ensure that all maintenance personnel are properly trained and equipped to handle emergency situations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years of maintenance experience, with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Certifications: Universal EPA/CFC Certification required.
  • Skills: Expertise in troubleshooting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repairs, and HVAC systems, as well as the ability to read blueprints and use a computer.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities.
  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
