Inalab Consulting is seeking dedicated Computer User Support Specialists to deliver comprehensive network and client computer assistance for our Information Technology Desktop Management Services. This role involves managing IT systems, including receiving, configuring, deploying, installing, and reclaiming IT assets, with ongoing support facilitated through multiple local Help Desk zones.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Customer User Support Team may include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the primary technical Point of Contact (POC) for customer support regarding core IT systems and services.
  • Diagnosing and resolving trouble tickets via phone when feasible.
  • Utilizing remote administration tools to perform fixes, ensuring customer consent is obtained prior to access.
  • Traveling to user locations for issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
  • Coordinating in-person support for telework personnel as needed.
  • Documenting problem resolutions in Remedy/ITSM before closing tickets.
  • Providing application support and routine hardware/software assistance.
  • Delivering on-site support for Executive/VIP personnel.
  • Ensuring timely delivery and installation of IT systems.
  • Distributing computers and equipment for annual Tech Refresh and new employee onboarding.
  • Preparing devices for deployment with the AF Standard Desktop Configuration, including necessary security updates and user-requested software.
  • Training Military Client System Technicians on Air Force-specific criteria.
  • Collaborating with the Base Network Shop for Local Area Network (LAN) troubleshooting.
  • Responding to LAN line issues and managing port activation requests.
  • Performing CAC PIN resets using designated workstations.
  • Managing the pick-up, turn-in, and disposal of excess hardware and software.
  • Notifying the Government of any system outages.
  • Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements as per regulations.
  • Providing support for remediation of classified information incidents.
  • Coordinating with Government personnel for implementation of notices and updates as required.
  • Offering written technical evaluations on IT requirements and new technologies.
  • Providing dedicated support for E-Tools and associated hardware.
  • Ensuring customer service excellence for digital signage and related software.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in installing and configuring hardware, software, workstations, printers, and scanners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing software and hardware issues.
  • Well-organized, customer-oriented, and experienced with Enterprise Service Desk software.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying solutions to customers.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
Educational and Experience Requirements

The minimum qualifications include:

  • An Associate Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Help Desk Technician role.
