To qualify, candidates must meet the educational and/or experiential requirements outlined below.
Experience encompasses both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer activities through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.Your resume should clearly articulate your relevant experience; if qualifying through education, transcripts will be required as part of your application. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Degree:
A degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related fields pertinent to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as described above, combined with relevant experience or additional education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must possess one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service, demonstrating the following competencies: 1) Analyzing and strategizing organizational work priorities, budgetary needs, and objectives related to natural resources management, security, environmental stewardship, park recreation facilities, and the construction or maintenance of roads, grounds, or facilities; AND 2) Overseeing and assessing contractor performance and adherence to contract specifications, including negotiations and amendments.

Time in Grade Requirement:
