Position Overview:

In collaboration with the Project Manager/Site Manager, oversee and manage the daily operations of the quality assurance system and protocols for the organization, from the initiation of the project through to its completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily functions of the quality assurance program.
  • Participate in project pre-construction meetings to present the Quality Management System (QMS) Program and review previous lessons learned with subcontractors.
  • Educate team members on the quality assurance program and assist in resolving any inquiries related to the program.
  • Administer the setup of projects within the quality program database, support and maintain the database, and assist in implementing and auditing the effectiveness of the quality assurance measures.
  • Ensure the quality program effectively monitors the overall quality of the organization in a timely manner.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to verify that quality controls are adhered to and report findings to the Project Team.
  • Perform quality inspections of installations to ensure strict compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Inspect incoming products, materials, and equipment to confirm compliance with contract specifications.
  • Verify that manufacturer, fabricator, and installer qualifications are current and relevant to the contract.
  • Coordinate timely sampling of work to allow for testing and analysis, preventing project delays.
  • Maintain a comprehensive jobsite test and inspection plan, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, including any changes to the work or design.
  • Create and uphold an approved Project-Specific Quality Control Plan.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the team member frequently needs to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms, and communicate effectively. The work environment is typically an office setting with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature/humidity. Overtime may be necessary.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will indirectly oversee subcontractors and holds authority over the overall quality on projects.


Qualifications:

An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with a minimum of three years of construction experience, or a minimum of five years of relevant construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree is required.

Experience in the light/heavy industrial sector is highly preferred.

Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

The selected candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational abilities and may be required to travel extensively.

This role necessitates travel as projects are located throughout the United States and, occasionally, internationally.

The chosen candidate can reside anywhere in the USA but must travel to project sites in accordance with Gray's travel policy.
