Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Body Technician to join our team at Classic Collision. As a key member of our collision repair team, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Service Advisors in assessing damage to vehicles prior to repair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including welders, soldering equipment, cutting torches, and sanders.
  • Fill depressions with body filler and remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective repair processes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-4 years of body shop experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused and able to provide exceptional service.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Continually required to talk or hear and lift/push weights up to 50 pounds.
