Stocker Adjustment Technician
Join our dynamic team as we transform the way high-tech companies work Principal Service Solutions is a leading technical workforce provider entrusted to safeguard the quality of operations at companies large and small. Help us create innovative solutions that drive efficiency and unleash the power of the high-tech workforce around the world.
Principal Service Solutions is hiring a Stocker Adjustment Technician who is responsible for performing tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, and warehousing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr. to $30.00/hr. DOE
Work Schedule 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleanroom work: Working in a cleanroom involves operating in a highly controlled environment designed to minimize contamination. Before entering, you'll don a full-body cleanroom suit, including gloves, a face mask, and a hairnet, in a gowning area. Inside, the air is constantly filtered to remove particles, and the temperature and humidity are tightly controlled. Movements should be slow and deliberate to prevent generating particles. You’ll run tests on equipment at designated workstations, often under laminar flow hoods that provide a stream of clean air. Adhering to strict protocols and maintaining cleanliness is crucial to ensure the integrity of the sensitive equipment and materials you'll be working with.
- Construction site: Working on a construction site involves being in an active, dynamic environment where safety and coordination are key. You'll wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and a high-visibility vest. The site is often noisy and busy, with heavy machinery, tools, and materials in constant use. You'll follow safety protocols, including regular briefings and using proper signage and barriers to prevent accidents. Your tasks might involve operating equipment, handling materials, or performing manual labor, requiring attention to detail and awareness of your surroundings. Teamwork and clear communication with your coworkers are essential to ensure the project progresses smoothly and safely.
- Hazards: Working at heights involves using PPE like harnesses and helmets, following strict safety protocols, and maintaining constant awareness to prevent falls. Working in a confined space requires specialized PPE, gas monitoring, a permit system, and continuous communication to ensure safety in limited entry and exit environments.
- Define Stocker: Imagine a stocker as an intelligent robot operating in an ultra-clean room. This environment needs to remain spotless because it manufactures delicate components called wafers. The stocker's role is to ensure these wafers are kept safe and pristine. Picture the stocker as a sophisticated vending machine, but instead of snacks, it stores these fragile computer parts. When someone needs a wafer, the stocker's robotic arm carefully retrieves it without human contact. This process ensures the wafers remain impeccably clean and ready for use in the advanced electronics we rely on, such as smartphones and computers.
- STK Adjustment Role: Adjustment scope begins with mechanical configuration and electrical checks of the stocker. Some examples are adjusting guide rollers, aligning sensors, and taking ground resistance checks on electrical components. Once the preliminary checks are complete, the next phase of adjustment is teaching and setting up the parameters for the robots. Then the final step of the adjustment process is running and analyzing tests to ensure the robot is running within the customer defined parameters. Some of the tests that adjustment technicians run include vibration measurement, flow rate testing, and oxygen concentration measurement. During the adjustment process, the adjustment member is given an Excel check list to rigorously follow and input data into. While work is being performed, the adjustment member should follow the adjustment manual without deviation
