We are seeking a skilled Home Environment Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of disrupting the cycle of homelessness.

Job Summary: The Home Environment Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment in our congregate shelter. This will involve overseeing daily chores, conducting regular checks, and ensuring that each family has a comfortable and adequately furnished room. The specialist will also support the development and implementation of re-housing plans to help families achieve independence and self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and orderliness in the facility during assigned work periods.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support the residential manager and case manager in developing and implementing re-housing plans.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and other activities to maintain up-to-date knowledge on program functions and required skills.
