About the Job

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Development Manager to join our team. This role will play a critical part in building and maintaining relationships with transportation providers, ensuring adequate coverage for customer freight portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender accept/reject loads, create loads, set appointments, dispatch, track and trace loads, resolve issues, and communicate with carriers and customers as needed
  • Identify and develop relationships with transportation providers to ensure maximum penetration of customer freight portfolios
  • Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to meet customer needs within agreed-upon timeframes
  • Continuously improve business operations in all segments
  • Schedule and dispatch while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations; timely update load statuses in the TMS
  • Maintain a positive employee-related climate and achieve World-Class customer satisfaction levels, available 24/7/365 for responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Ability to represent the company externally and build strong customer relationships
  • Demonstrated customer service capabilities and effective leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Problem-solving skills, flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment, and capability to multi-task with excellent time management skills
  • Competitive nature, drive to contribute to a winning culture, and detailed-oriented follow-up practices
  • Working knowledge of the Transportation Industry, carrier modes & services, and basic Supply Chain design and functionality
  • Knowledge and support of RIL policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated PC skills in MS Access, Excel, Word, and Clear understanding of SMS legacy system
  • Understanding of assigned customer, customer product, and distribution requirements

Qualifications:

  • H.S. diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
  • Three (3) years or more business experience required

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 per year, which includes an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on performance.
