Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and develop a team of 2+ direct reports to ensure effective maintenance and upkeep of our apartment communities.
  • Service and Maintenance
    • Provide exemplary service to residents and team members, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.
    • Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including vendor relationships, service staff, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, and resident service requests.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate property maintenance and capital needs to management and ensure maintenance and capital needs are addressed.
  • Compliance and Budgeting
    • Ensure property follows AIR operating procedures/guidelines, regulations, and other compliance matters, including those related to Environmental Health & Safety.
    • Manage budget efficiently to maximize return on investment while maintaining the highest level of quality and customer service.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience with technical maintenance and facilities management, ideally in property management or a similar industry (hospitality, retail, restaurants, etc.).
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • 1-3 years of experience leading a team of people in customer service and asset maintenance.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • A reliable mode of transportation.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
    • Comfort with physical activity, as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
