About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Product Manager to lead the definition and execution of the product strategy for the EC2 compute platform and EC2 storage features. As a key member of the Amazon EC2 Product Management team, you will work closely with leaders across AWS, Amazon, and our partners to drive towards our vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the product strategy for the EC2 compute platform and EC2 storage features.
  • Work with leaders across AWS, Amazon, and our partners to drive towards our vision.
  • Define project requirements, priorities, methods for measurement, and track their execution and success.
  • Communicate with senior management on project status, strategy, risks, and issues.
  • Work closely with multiple engineering teams and designers to deliver results to customers.
About the Team

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience.
  • 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience.
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market).
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience delivering enterprise, infrastructure, compute products and services in a high growth environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with influencing and working with large, external companies.
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $163,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
