Position Overview

This role serves as the primary liaison for advising eligible Dual Credit students, facilitating state funding opportunities (Advanced Opportunities), and assisting with eligibility and completion processes. The aim is to enhance student achievement, retention, and overall academic success. The individual in this position will employ meticulous attention to detail while working strategically, collaboratively, and independently with a diverse range of colleagues, high school partners, students, and community stakeholders to ensure optimal student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to high school students.
  • Engage in outreach and support initiatives, particularly for underserved populations.
  • Collaborate effectively while managing detailed tasks independently.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills, prioritizing activities and adapting to changing circumstances.

Qualifications

Required Experience
  • Experience mentoring high school students.
  • Proven track record in student outreach and support.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently on detailed tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Required Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to obtain membership in NACADA.
  • Ability to travel and work during selected evenings and/or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with dual credit or concurrent enrollment programs.
  • Background in admissions, recruitment, or student retention strategies.
  • Understanding of a student-centered educational approach.
  • Experience collaborating with high school faculty and staff.
  • Knowledge of Idaho General Education courses and statewide graduation policies.
  • Familiarity with university systems, including student record systems.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective policy and procedure explanation.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and databases.
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate data reports.
  • Experience working with diverse colleagues and community members.
Working Conditions
  • No specific physical requirements.
Employment Information

This position is classified as Non-Exempt and is full-time, contingent upon continued funding. A visa sponsorship is not available for this role. The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check.
