Data Integrity Specialist

Job Summary
The Data Integrity/Identity Specialist maintains the integrity of the Master Patient Index (MPI) via medical record number corrections, deletions, updates, merges and additions; reviews all registration input, makes corrections and notifies proper departments as needed; resolves master patient index overlays, resolution of potential duplicate medical records and any other chart corrections as applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains the integrity of the Master Patient Index (MPI)
- Reviews all registration input and makes corrections as needed
- Resolves master patient index overlays and potential duplicate medical records
- Coordinates and communicates with clinical staff, revenue management, and information technology departments
Requirements
- Associate Degree in business/computer science/health information technology or health informatics
- Experience in medical records department of 2 years or more
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Epic EHR
