Volt is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist I to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee standard operational processes that are stable and consistent, including troubleshooting computer imaging issues, replacing printer consumables, disposing of outdated equipment, and addressing service requests from ticketing systems.
- Document and disseminate information effectively, maintaining regular interaction with external stakeholders.
- Ensure proficient email communication and the ability to create and maintain essential documentation, including:
- Contact lists
- Process logs
- Incident reports
- Customer information updates
- Inventory and maintenance records
- Standard facility administration requests
Equipment and Maintenance:
- Maintain necessary equipment and supplies to support ongoing operations.
- Perform basic printer operations, including toner replacement and troubleshooting by following knowledge base articles to resolve user issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Understanding of computing and networking principles.
- Proficiency in standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office, as well as intranet and internet functionalities.
- Familiarity with computer security protocols and general security concepts.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in IT, although recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Educational Background:
- A degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is also acceptable.
Work Schedule:
This position operates on a standard weekday schedule.
Compensation:
The pay rate for this role ranges from $22 to $26 per hour, based on various factors including education, experience, and specific job responsibilities.
