The Event Videography Specialist plays a crucial role during home events for Club Sports at Liberty University.
This role is focused on assisting the videoboard operator in fostering an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere during events featuring a videoboard.
The specialist must maintain keen awareness of the game dynamics for optimal timing, ensuring the right moments are captured while being mindful of the surrounding noise levels.
Adhering to a predetermined script is essential, as the specialist will be tasked with operating the camera at specific intervals outlined in the script.
This position reports directly to the Video Coordinator for Club Sports.
Key Responsibilities- Capture footage of the videoboard host during home events, particularly during trivia, mini-games, and other fan engagement activities.
- Film audience members to showcase on the videoboard during interactive segments such as dance cam and other fan experience highlights.
- Review scripts to ensure timely execution of camera operations during events.
- Maintain effective communication with the videoboard operator and event host to ensure seamless operation.
- Collaborate as a team member, actively supporting and promoting Liberty University's mission.
- Possess a solid understanding of camera equipment and be prepared to lift weights up to 25lbs consistently.
- Execute additional job-related tasks as assigned by the Video Coordinator or videoboard operator to ensure flexibility in responsibilities during home events.
A high school diploma is required. A strong understanding of hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball is highly recommended. Excellent communication skills and strong penmanship are essential. Familiarity with both Dell and Apple computer systems is advantageous.
