Sports Reporter Opportunity

The News & Advance is seeking a skilled sports reporter to cover Division I athletics at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves reporting on various sports events, including football, basketball, and baseball, as well as assisting with Division III athletics, high school sports, and minor league baseball.

As a sports reporter, you will be responsible for gathering information, conducting interviews, and writing engaging articles for our local news section. Experience with photography and videography is a plus, but not required. We offer training opportunities for enthusiastic learners.

This is a great opportunity for a journalist looking to grow and develop their skills in a dynamic newsroom environment. You must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
