Cannon & Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Criminal Law Paralegal to support our criminal defense practice. This role is essential in managing the various stages of litigation, from initial investigations to trial proceedings.
As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate closely with attorneys, assisting in depositions, preparing witnesses, and conducting legal research. Your responsibilities will include identifying and organizing exhibits for hearings and trials, as well as providing support to attorneys throughout the litigation process, both in and out of the courtroom.
We are looking for a motivated Paralegal with a strong background in criminal law who is eager to contribute to our mission of advocating for families and freedom. If you possess a dynamic personality and a passion for making a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
Compensation:
$40,000 - $55,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting legal documents and motions related to criminal cases
- Managing correspondence with opposing counsel and the courts
- Overseeing all aspects of criminal case management
- Filing legal documents in district and federal courts
- Coordinating attorney schedules and docketing events
- Tracking billable hours for work performed on cases
Qualifications:
- Experience as a paralegal in criminal law
- Ability to draft basic legal pleadings and motions
- Skilled in collecting and organizing client documents and evidence
- Experience in litigation processes
- Strong client relationship management skills
