Job Title: Paralegal (Personal Injury/Oil and Gas/Insurance Defense)

We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support our team in a boutique law firm specializing in Personal Injury, Oil and Gas, and Insurance Defense law.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in case management, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Maintain organized case files, documentation, and records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in cases.
  • Coordinate appointments, hearings, and depositions.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness coordination, and courtroom logistics.
  • Provide support during trial proceedings, including note-taking and document management.
  • Handle administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the firm.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on Personal Injury (defense experience preferred) or Oil and Gas law.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Strong litigation experience, including familiarity with court procedures and rules.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and software.
