Special Education Technician

This role involves implementing evidence-based intervention practices, monitoring children's behavior inside and outside of the classroom, and collecting data to inform instruction and intervention. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of positive behavioral supports and crisis response strategies.
Responsibilities
- Implement skills-acquisition and behavior intervention plans developed by the IEP team.
- Collaborate with classroom teacher to design and implement instructional activities.
- Collect data and conduct assessments to inform instruction and intervention.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community about factors impacting student performance.
Requirements
- AA or BA in Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
- Hold or be in the process of obtaining RBT credentials.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve effectively with students with behavioral and mental health issues.
- Training and/or experience in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide medical, dental, vision, basic long-term disability, basic life and AD&D insurance through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB).
