Position Overview:
People First Federal Credit Union is currently seeking candidates for the role of Part-time Accounting Associate. This position involves crucial accounting functions that support our financial operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations, verifying financial reports and vault transactions.
  • Record and process general ledger entries from various source documents.
  • Oversee settlements related to credit union products and services.
  • Handle exceptions for member transactions, including share drafts and ACH processes.
  • Maintain and reconcile daily check registers to ensure financial integrity.
  • Prepare daily settlements for off-balance sheet products.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and responding to inquiries.

Work Schedule:
This role offers a flexible work schedule, allowing for up to 29 hours per week, with availability from Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.

Employees will enjoy paid time off and access to a 401k plan.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or GED. Strong problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

  • Completion of an accounting degree

Additionally, the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities is crucial.
