Chief Information Officer

The Maricopa Community College District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Officer to lead its Information Technology (IT) division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in the development and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure that support the district's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide vision and strategic direction for the IT division, aligning with the district's overall strategic plan.
- Lead the development and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure that support the district's academic, administrative, and operational functions.
- Oversee the management of IT budgets, resources, and personnel, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with district stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT needs, and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of IT systems and data, and develop and implement policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their adoption and implementation.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as computer science, information technology, or business administration.
- At least 8 years of experience in IT leadership, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in leading IT initiatives and projects, and experience with IT budgeting and resource management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of IT professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with district stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students.
- Experience with cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
- Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Certifications in IT leadership, such as CIO or CTO.
