Lennar Homes is seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Manager to join our team. As a key member of our land acquisition team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring strategic land parcels that align with our company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Land Sourcing and Acquisition: Identify potential land acquisition targets through thorough market research and networking with real estate professionals, landowners, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analyses of potential deals to inform offer negotiations and ensure alignment with our company's growth targets.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Collaborate with our outside counsel and sellers to negotiate terms and specifics of land contracts, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction process.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with land sellers throughout the contract period, ensuring open communication and timely resolution of any issues.
  • Green Folder Creation: Work with our land analysts to facilitate the creation of Green Folders (land books) to seek corporate approval for deals.
  • Lot Take-Down Schedule and Land Pipeline Management: Oversee the lot take-down schedule and land pipeline schedules for specific deals, ensuring timely execution and alignment with our company's growth objectives.
  • Contract File Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date land contract files, maps, critical dates, contract summaries, and periodic market analysis.
  • Land Management System Updates: Regularly update deal specifics in our Land Management System to keep our 5-Year Plan current.
  • Market Awareness and Networking: Network with other builders and developers to maintain market awareness and develop key contacts, positioning ourselves as a strong competitor in our market area.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with our region attorney to acquire necessary approvals for the ability to sign contracts.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum 4-year college degree required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management software.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of sales/negotiating principles and real estate.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving: Must exercise initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision, while being detail-oriented and a problem-solver able to deal with complex situations.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, bend, stoop, reach, lift, walk, move, and/or carry equipment in excess of 20 pounds, and have finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
