Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and their family members about speech disorders, including their causes, whether related to disabilities or traumatic events.
- Maintain detailed records of student conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Report patient progress and current status to appropriate parties, including family members, teachers, or medical professionals, as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for students, contributing expertise to support each student's unique needs.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
- Excellent coaching, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Attentive and caring, with the ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Speech Pathologist.
- CCC-SLP Certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology).
- Active license in good standing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Therapist or in a similar role.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Estimated Salary:
$24,746 per week, based on national averages and location considerations.
