Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity Overview

Poulsbo, Washington Contract Position

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Poulsbo, Washington.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat speech and communication disorders in students, including sound production, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to improve verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support students with diverse needs.
  • Diagnose and address cognitive communication issues, such as memory, attention, and problem-solving deficits.
  • Provide assistive technology and alternative communication methods, like communication boards or speech-generating devices, to support students with complex needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Speech and Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Experience working with children in educational settings, preferably with a strong background in pediatric SLP.
  • Valid WA state SLP license; Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $43.50-$48.00, based on experience.
  • Guaranteed hours: 35-40 hours per week.
  • Benefits package includes 401(k) with employer match, health, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Payment schedule: weekly payments every Friday.
