Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team at Back Shore Aquatics LLC. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans to meet the needs of students
    • Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students
    • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Pool Operations
    • Ensure the pool area is safe and clean for students
    • Enforce pool rules and regulations
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks as needed
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Interact with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress
    • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and industry developments
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. education, exercise science) preferred
    • Certification in lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and first aid required
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a swim instructor or in a related field
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong organizational and time management skills

Our pool facility is a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. As a Swim Instructor, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.
