Job Summary

Clean Water Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Water & Engineering Technology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of complex sanitary sewer and water resource capital improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the development of complex engineering projects, including planning, designing, and administering sanitary sewer expansion, upgrade, and rehabilitation projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource for integrated water resources issues affecting the District, providing expertise on civil and sanitary water resource engineering design theory, principles, and practices.
  • Oversee and/or supervise selection and management of engineering consultant contractors, coordinating work with project stakeholders, government agencies, and other District divisions.
  • Develop and implement large-scale planning and modeling efforts, ensuring compliance with District safety practices and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and prepare development plans for staff, ensuring they meet performance standards and achieve goals.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of project management experience, including leadership roles and/or staff supervision experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in public involvement and permitting, design and/or construction of major sanitary capital projects, including conveyance systems or sanitary sewer rehabilitation programs.
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in civil, sanitary, or environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain registration within six months of hire.
