Job Summary

Geo-Logic Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Consultant/Water Rights Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our water resources consulting firm, you will work collaboratively with a team of experts on a variety of projects related to groundwater supply, aquifer storage and recovery, water supply planning, and strategic water rights management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and research water rights associated with project properties
  • Review and interpret water right files relative to Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) and Washington State Department of Ecology rules and regulations
  • Conduct field investigations, including estimation of water use, water level measurement of wells, streamflow monitoring, and related activities to support water resource development projects
  • Analyze quantitative data, perform simple to complex quantitative spreadsheet analyses, provide scientific interpretations, and prepare technical reports
  • Develop water resource management studies, including evaluation of hydrology, groundwater, water quality, and water demand data in the context of water supply management
  • Participate in team and client meetings for project scoping and to present findings and results

Requirements
  • BA or BS degree in geology, hydrogeology, water resource engineering, or related field; MS degree in a related field is a plus
  • Oregon and/or Washington Certified Water Rights Examiner (CWRE) license, or Geologist Registration (GIT, RG, PG, and/or LHG) is a plus
