About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Professional Staff Nurse (RN) to join our team in a per diem capacity. This role will involve providing nursing care and outcomes for a group of patients for a designated time frame, working collaboratively with other members of the health team to deliver exceptional patient care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving

Demonstrate personal accountability for own professional practice and professional growth by applying critical thinking skills to identify and address patient care needs.

Patient Safety and Quality

Promote patient safety and quality by adhering to the National Patient Safety Goals and maintaining accurate and timely documentation.

Effective Communication

Communicate and collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team, escalating situations as needed to ensure seamless care delivery.

Patient Education and Empowerment

Establish effective caring relationships with patients, families, and staff by providing patient education and assisting in discharge planning, considering patient readiness and barriers.

Medication Administration

Administer medication and parenteral therapy according to policy and procedure, including blood administration, while prioritizing patient safety and well-being.

Delegation and Prioritization

Establish priorities for patient care delivery and use critical thinking skills to coordinate and complete patient care responsibilities independently or by delegating tasks appropriately.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must have a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program and hold a valid NY State RN license. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in nursing care and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 annually
