Senior Software Engineer .NET Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced .NET software engineer to join our team at Acuity Brands. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level software applications using the .NET framework.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of application development technology and supporting construction techniques, as well as the ability to mentor junior-level team members. You will be working closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, architecture, coding, testing, and deployment of applications with minimal supervision.
- Guide more junior-level developers in the development of architecture.
- Produce quality code according to system design and technical standards.
- Submit all code for review per organization and team standards while also helping peer review code.
- Demonstrate initiative in determining and recommending solutions for difficult and complex problems.
- Provide technical leadership, assist others with technical issues.
- Continuously learn new technologies and techniques to apply to product solutions.
- Participate in on-call support rotations to resolve production-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience using .NET Framework or .NET (cross-platform).
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying PaaS solutions with Microsoft Azure platform.
- Hands-on experience with MVC Framework.
- Hands-on SQL Server, Cosmos, or Oracle database experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing a microservice-oriented architecture.
- Hands-on experience developing event-driven solutions.
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and API gateways.
- Hands-on experience with test-driven development.
- Proficient C# or other modern language skills with extensive knowledge of debugging practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Hands-on experience with DB2.
- Hands-on experience in multiple languages.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
- Containerization using Docker & Azure Container Registry.
- Hands-on experience deploying solutions to Kubernetes.
