Senior Quality Engineer

About Us

Hillphoenix, a leading manufacturer of display cases and refrigeration systems, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in Conyers, GA.

Job Summary

The Senior Quality Engineer will support the Quality Director/Manager in strategic and day-to-day quality-related activities and the improvement of quality processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, create, and maintain standard procedures and process flows, process and final inspection plans, receiving inspection plans, inspection instructions, and process flows.
  • Lead, create, assign, and follow up on 8Ds for Corrective Actions and Customer Corrective Action Requests as required.
  • Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineers in day-to-day QA/QC duties, provide direction and coaching to the quality team, and conduct capability studies, internal and external audits.
  • Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes, liaison between production, customer service, Supplier QE, and engineering for issues affecting production, and manage QC Fixture test program.
  • Develop Quality Inspection Plans for New Products and up to 15% travel for domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing/quality or supplier quality experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certified.
  • Proficient in Excel, Minitab, Word, Visio, and problem-solving skills.
  • Background in quality systems/supplier quality management systems and data collection.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
