Winholt Equipment, a leading manufacturer of Food Service, Food Handling and Material Handling Equipment, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Welder to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the precise fitting and welding of aluminum and stainless steel components using both MIG and TIG processes. Your work will contribute directly to the production of high-quality equipment that meets industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up welding machines according to specific project requirements, utilizing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for optimal results.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately understand welding specifications and ensure precise execution.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel components, adhering to the outlined blueprints and WPS guidelines.
  • Maintain a commitment to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all welding operations.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to ensure consistent and reliable welding practices.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process or provide support to machine operators as needed.
  • Assemble components according to instructions provided by the floor supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, demonstrating proper care for all equipment and facilities.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and focus on the task at hand.
  • Strictly follow safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Physically handle raw materials, finished products, and packaged items for shipment, lifting up to 60 pounds consistently. Ensure compliance with all relevant ISO and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
  • A certification from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • One year of relevant experience in welding is required.
  • Proven experience working with aluminum and/or stainless steel is essential.
  • Mastery of MIG and TIG welding techniques is mandatory.
  • Ability to consistently lift heavy items up to 60 pounds is required.
  • Skill in identifying and measuring materials accurately.
  • Capacity to produce high-quality products consistently.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions provided both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Successful completion of a weld test during the interview process. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided if needed.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
