Key Responsibilities
  • School Culture and Student Engagement
    • Develop and implement Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) to promote positive student behavior and reduce disciplinary incidents.
    • Use restorative practices to address student behavioral issues and promote conflict resolution skills.
    • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement student reward and recognition programs.
    • Support school-wide policy and procedures related to student behavior and discipline.
  • Safety and Well-being
    • De-escalate situations that affect the overall culture and climate of the school.
    • Collaborate with social workers and counselors to assess students' social-emotional needs and provide support.
    • Assist with supervising student entry and dismissal, locker rooms, transitions, and lunchroom duty.
  • Community Engagement
    • Participate in professional development and leadership team meetings to promote school culture and student engagement.
    • Assist with meetings with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address concerns.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Analyze data on student incidents to identify patterns and trends.
    • Develop and implement strategies to address student behavioral issues and promote student success.
    • Ensure proper record-keeping and data management using school-wide tools and systems.
  • Administrative Services
    • Assist with maintaining a welcoming and efficient front office.
    • Perform general office management tasks, including maintaining student discipline records.
  • Communications
    • Facilitate open and consistent communication with students, families, and school personnel.
    • Develop and disseminate professional correspondence, including suspension letters and other communications.
  • Technology
    • Learn and work with school-specific administrative technology, including Google Classroom and G-Suite.
