Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Satellite and Vehicle Operations Technician. This role is essential for the assembly, modification, and integration of vehicles, as well as conducting various tests to ensure optimal performance.


Key Responsibilities:
As a technician, you will:

  • Assist in the assembly and integration of vehicle components, working under supervision and gradually taking on more responsibilities.
  • Support the installation and testing of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.
  • Participate in the verification of test procedures and perform acceptance checks on flight hardware.
  • Engage in the integration of various vehicle hardware, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Conduct thermal material preparations and installations, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Operate equipment for the movement of vehicle hardware, utilizing overhead cranes and air-bearing systems.
  • Assist in the preparation for ambient and environmental systems tests, including integrated systems tests and thermal/vacuum tests.
  • Support the installation of instrumentation for troubleshooting and testing purposes.
  • Ensure all test data and records are complete and accurate.


Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A commitment to completing a two-year program in electronics or aerospace technology.
  • A background in mechanical technology or equivalent experience.
  • The ability to interpret engineering documents and follow verbal instructions.
  • Certification in relevant processes such as soldering and crimping.
  • The capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.


Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience with ordnance and pyro handling.
  • Proficiency in operating Personal Aerial Lift Devices (PALD), forklifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Hands-on skills in harness building and electronic troubleshooting.
  • A readiness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • The flexibility to support multiple shifts for critical operations.


Work Environment:
This position requires onsite work at a designated facility, with a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
