Position Summary:
As a Grounds Person, you will be responsible for assisting our skilled Grounds Crew in the safe execution of various tree care tasks. This role involves operating company vehicles and equipment while performing essential tree work. A passion for safety and a willingness to learn are key attributes we seek in our candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-climb tree risk assessments.
- Utilize industry-standard climbing techniques and equipment.
- Navigate tree canopies without the need for climbing spurs or supervision.
- Execute precise cuts in trees while adhering to safety protocols.
- Effectively use hand tools and power tools while working aloft.
- Collaborate with team members, maintaining a positive attitude and work pace.
- Engage in a full day of tree care tasks as directed by the crew leader.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Strong enthusiasm for tree care and customer service.
- No prior experience necessary, although previous work as a grounds worker is advantageous.
- A team-oriented individual with a positive demeanor.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Dependable, honest, and punctual in attendance.
- Must achieve the status of 'Ground Technician 1' within the first six months of employment.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds or more.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
