About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated Real Estate Financial Analyst to join our Property Management team. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports and managing all accounting activities for assigned properties. You will collaborate closely with various departments including Development, Property Management, and Construction Management to achieve our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and adjust month-end financial statements as needed; compile month-end reporting packages for assigned properties, including financial summaries.
- Create reports for asset management purposes, such as cash-flow forecasts, capital expenditures, and rent rolls.
- Maintain schedules for balance sheet accounts.
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets, year-end financial statements, and workpapers for tax accounting.
- Assist with annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
- Prepare cash calls for partners.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and manage security deposit accounting upon tenant move-out.
- Generate monthly rent charges and any additional charges for tenants and other stakeholders as required.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and communicate collection efforts with management, recording tenant and miscellaneous receipts.
- Review and authorize invoices for weekly payments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience with multiple entities.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management, clients, investors, and staff.
- Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Yardi is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to adapt and excel in changing environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen business sense.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in real estate tax accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
