Job Summary

Takkion Ops Management LLC is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technician II/III/Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Operations & Repair division, you will be responsible for performing inspections, services, and repairs on the composite components of wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Repair Wind Turbine Blades
    • Perform blade repairs and inspections at heights up to 300+ feet
    • Identify and investigate blade damages, up to severity level 5
    • Map out scarfs using given ratios and perform mapped scarfing and smooth chamfering
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment
    • Safely operate, shutdown, and LOTO various WTGs
    • Rig, setup, and operate blade access platforms
    • Setup and safely operate a platform tagline
  • Communicate and Collaborate
    • Communicate with the customer at site with professionalism on a daily basis
    • Communicate with the Engineering/Technical Team via phone/text, as required
  • Meet Safety and Quality Standards
    • Adhere to Takkion's mission and values
    • Ensure quality workmanship and complete reporting and documentation with photos throughout the process
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • HS diploma or GED equivalent
    • Blade-specific composite repair training/certifications are preferred
    • Any OEM blade-specific certifications/experience/training is preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Fluent and able to read, write, and speak English
    • Ability to climb ladders up to heights of 300+ feet
    • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport
Working Conditions

This position operates in a field environment and requires the ability to work in confined spaces with diverse environmental conditions. The qualified candidate will be required to work on various wind farms across the United States and travel for up to six (6) weeks at a time.
