Key Responsibilities
  • Processes specimens for testing, including accessioning, verifying, and labeling specimens.
  • Ensures the smooth flow of specimens through the laboratory operations area, prioritizing stat and other priority samples.
  • Performs troubleshooting duties for coordinators and clinicians, and notifies providers of collection or processing errors.
  • Responsible for receiving, sorting, and prioritizing all samples arriving in Lab Control, maintaining sample integrity and order among requisitions.
  • Assists with canisters and phone when not on runs, and stores and discards specimens per established protocols.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 yrs of previous laboratory experience preferred.
