Description:

We are seeking a certified medication technician to work in a government medical facility in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The job involves assisting nurses with patient care, administering medications, and monitoring patient health.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Assist nurses with patient care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to discuss patient care and progress
  • Provide first aid for minor injuries
  • Accept and account for drugs and related paraphernalia
  • Attend in-service training programs to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on industry developments

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and excellent communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as certification as a CMT through a KY State approved program.
