Job Summary

Premier Global Links is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Emergency Services to lead our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and administration of the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care to patients in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Emergency Department, including staffing, budgeting, and operations.
  • Clinical Oversight: Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care by overseeing clinical practices, protocols, and standards within the Emergency Department.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, and healthcare teams to develop and implement departmental goals, initiatives, and improvement projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to emergency care services.
  • Staff Development: Develop and mentor nursing and clinical staff, fostering professional growth, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Analyze and report on departmental performance metrics, patient outcomes, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as a key liaison between the Emergency Department and other hospital departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • RN License: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state nursing license with the ability to practice in Iowa.
  • BLS Certification: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Experience: 35 years of related clinical practice in an emergency or acute care setting, with a minimum of 12 years in a clinical leadership role.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to oversee a diverse team in a high-stress environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Emergency Care Knowledge: Indepth knowledge of emergency care protocols, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with a variety of healthcare professionals.
  • Advanced Certifications: Advanced certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) are preferred but not required.
