The Role
The Lead Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating current operational and technical workflows, pinpointing system interdependencies, and documenting procedures, system architectures, and technical choices. You will assist in assessing Fidelity's existing Typescript environments, identify deficiencies, and convert requirements into precise technical documentation.
You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to conduct system impact evaluations, recognize dependencies, and recommend work sequencing. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the current ecosystem and have the chance to share your technical expertise to enhance our engineering community and digital web platforms.
The Team
The workspace web platform team is dedicated to creating a cohesive developer experience across Fidelity, engaging in the hands-on development of standardized tools for testing frameworks, developer environments, bundler and build system implementations, CI jobs, client libraries for observability and experimentation, editor integrations, and REST + GraphQL implementations. Our mission is to foster an environment that enables productive development without sacrificing quality. The team will directly influence the efficiency and experience of front-end developers across various product domains.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise-wide platforms or applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess the scope and impact of work at a granular level.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in technical writing or documentation.
- Experience in collaboratively creating design artifacts and translating them into agile stories.
- Proficiency in navigating modern front-end development technologies, particularly Angular and Typescript.
- Robust critical thinking abilities coupled with a commitment to growth, learning, and engaging with peers to gather requirements and stakeholder agreements.
- Data-driven mindset with the capability to measure, collect, and utilize data for decision-making and presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, including knowledge of cloud migration strategies and tools.
- Support activities throughout various testing and rollout phases.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and any modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue).
- Experience in technical documentation and collaboration.
- Working knowledge of REST and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with monorepos.
- Understanding of Web Components and Component Architecture.
- Experience with GIT, Jenkins, or similar build tools (e.g., Circle CI, GitHub).
- Development experience in large-scale community projects.
- Experience with Node.js or similar technologies.
- Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks.
- Experience with Storybook or other discovery tools.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1+ and AA/AAA Standards.
- Familiarity with AWS.
