Position Summary

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the company's success by optimizing the sales and marketing of supplier brands within designated retail accounts. This is achieved through consultative sales approaches, fostering robust relationships with key stakeholders, and executing effective planning, selling, merchandising, and communication strategies to meet both company and supplier goals.

This is a full-time role with responsibilities in designated areas. Flexibility to work on weekends may be required based on customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing consultative sales techniques and strong relationships to promote products within a specified route while operating a company vehicle.
  • Overseeing inventory management through regular counts, product rotation, and removal of near-expiry items.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with retail partners.
  • Creating and executing sales promotions to drive product distribution and growth.
  • Establishing promotional displays and conducting product sampling.
  • Ensuring that marketing materials are effectively showcased in retail environments.
  • Securing optimal product placement, including primary displays and coolers.
  • Coordinating with delivery personnel and merchandisers to fulfill daily tasks and merchandising standards.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Operating vehicles and performing job duties safely in line with established protocols.
  • Participating in all required company meetings and engaging in personal development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in the beverage alcohol industry or distribution is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasionally lifts, pushes, or pulls items up to 70 lbs. (with assistance).
  • Job duties are performed both inside and outside retail locations.
  • May involve work in an office or warehouse setting.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions may occur.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, with actual offers varying based on route, location, experience, education, and skills.

This position is eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company matching.
