Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: demand planning, inventory management, procurement, or operational logistics is essential. An APICS certification is preferred.

Position Purpose:
Under general supervision, execute supply chain management tasks to maintain precise part inventories at optimal stock levels, ensuring the organization can meet global demands effectively.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management of components across the business unit.
  2. Utilize sound judgment and specialized supply chain management expertise to achieve performance metrics.
  3. Anticipate emerging trends and assess their potential impact on the business.
  4. Analyze key performance indicators to ensure supply chain service level objectives are met.
  5. Understand the financial and logistical implications of inventory investment decisions.
  6. Conduct lifecycle planning for rotable and perishable inventory items as necessary.
  7. Prepare recommendations for adjustments to supply chain tactical plans in response to evolving business needs.
  8. Assist in evaluating whether surplus inventory should be redistributed, sold, or disposed of.
  9. Foster relationships with other functional areas to address issues related to shortages, distribution, customer provisioning, service center demand, and over-the-counter sales, and propose solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Develop replenishment strategies to identify future inventory discrepancies and take appropriate actions to balance inventory levels while minimizing logistics costs.
  2. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on workload status, inventory levels, logistics considerations, and overall customer fill rates.
  3. Review engineering drawings, vendor part catalogs, and assembly items to establish initial spare parts requirements for new and existing product lines.
  4. Conduct audits as necessary within the area of specialization.
  5. Participate in training new team members, sharing business knowledge and expertise.
  6. Limited travel may be required based on the area of specialization.
Other Requirements:
  1. Experience in demand planning and inventory management across distribution networks is essential.
  2. Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is strongly preferred.
  3. Experience with aircraft parts and relevant regulations is advantageous.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
