Job Summary

The Village of Caledonia Fire Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated fire service personnel to fill current vacancies for the position of full-time Firefighter/Paramedic. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing fire suppression, fire inspection, and emergency medical services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide fire suppression and medical services
  • Conduct fire inspections and maintain fire safety codes
  • Operate and maintain fire department vehicles and equipment
  • Participate in daily training exercises and classroom lectures
  • Prepare reports and maintain records under the supervision of the shift commander/shift officer
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School or Equivalency Diploma
  • Valid State of Wisconsin or National Registry - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • State of Wisconsin Paramedic licensure is preferred
  • State of Wisconsin Certified Firefighter I certification is required within six months of hire
  • Candidate Physical Ability Test Certification (CPAT) within sixty days of the date of hire
