Job Title: Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic

Job Summary:

The Village of Caledonia Fire Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated fire service personnel to fill current vacancies for the position of full-time Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing fire suppression, fire inspection, and emergency medical services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain fire department vehicles and equipment
  • Respond to emergency medical calls and provide basic or advanced life support
  • Conduct fire inspections and investigations
  • Participate in daily training exercises and classroom lectures
  • Perform duties as a fire apparatus driver and motor pump operator
  • Responsible for station cleanliness and maintenance of apparatus, tools, equipment, and all other fire department property
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School or Equivalency Diploma
  • Valid State of Wisconsin or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • State of Wisconsin Paramedic licensure is preferred
  • Current Paramedic students are strongly encouraged to apply
  • State of Wisconsin Certified Firefighter I certification is required within six months of hire
  • State of Wisconsin Firefighter II certification is required prior to completing an 18-month probationary period
  • Candidate Physical Ability Test Certification (CPAT) within sixty days of the date of hire
