Role Overview

As a key member of the Individual Investors (II) Marketing division, the Investment Marketing Strategist position is a prominent role that facilitates essential transformation initiatives, enhances business value realization, and champions investment product prospects to foster the growth of the II sector. With a clientele exceeding 1.4 million investors, the Individual Investor organization oversees more than $200B in client assets and is a pivotal focus area for the firm.

This individual will play a crucial role in the Growth Program for II, responsible for managing the implementation of significant product marketing strategies to ensure that business value is effectively achieved. This position requires the utilization of data and insights to guide the optimal alignment of experiences and offerings with priority market segments. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of the asset management sector and exhibit proficiency in orchestrating multi-channel marketing initiatives.

We seek a candidate with an innovative, inquisitive, and growth-oriented mindset who can execute existing planned activities while also identifying and launching new initiatives to enhance our ability to inform clients about the advantages of T. Rowe Price fund capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Omni-Channel Marketing Strategy
  • Design and oversee omni-channel marketing strategies associated with T. Rowe Price products, including, but not limited to, mutual funds and ETFs.
  • Collaborate with other product stakeholders to advocate for the Individual Investor client base and ensure consistency in the positioning of T. Rowe Price products across all segments.
  • Maintain continuous communication with creative, activation, and client experience (CX) teams to guarantee successful campaign execution and optimization.
Audience Strategy
  • Partner with customer strategy and analytics teams to refine customer segmentation and targeting strategies, ensuring marketing efforts effectively reach the appropriate audiences.
  • Utilize primary and secondary market research to comprehend customer needs, preferences, and behaviors.
  • Identify audience opportunities and establish marketing objectives to enhance client engagement and the uptake of our investment products and services.
Integrated Experience Enhancement
  • Acting as an investment product subject matter expert, collaborate closely with channel teams (site, mobile app, contact center) to ensure a seamless and engaging experience that aligns with the overall marketing strategy.
Research and Analysis
  • Conduct market research to pinpoint industry trends, evaluate the competitive landscape, and uncover customer insights.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings to inform marketing strategies.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years of total relevant work experience.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective marketing business cases and campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, work under pressure, and adhere to tight timelines.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
